The Cueva de la Vaca, in the south of Tenerife, is located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. It is a natural pool that is surrounded by a kind of crown formed by volcanic rocks. To get to the Cueva de la Vaca, you have to go to Santiago del Teide, which is about 40 kilometers from Tenerife Sur airport. Then you have to get to Playa de la Arena. From the southern airport it will take just over half an hour, since most of the journey is made by motorway. From Santa Cruz or the North airport it will take a little longer, since it is more than 150 km away.

Access to the Cueva de la Vaca is very simple, since it is only necessary to walk a few meters from a nearby residential area to access it. Its proximity to Playa de la Arena makes it possible to alternate a visit to Cueva de la Vaca with bathing on this black sand beach.

As usual throughout the southern area of ​​Tenerife, the weather is usually warm, with clear skies and temperatures that invite you to swim, so even in winter it is a good time to take a dip in the Cueva de la Vaca.
